Summary
“Soooo…” She draws the o out as she tilts her head and rests it on her hand, leaning over the bar counter. “You know Steve, then. Steve Harrington.”
Jonathan hesitates. He could lie. It might even be easy. A simple Steve? Steve, who? would probably be enough to dismiss the idea all together since there’s something about the question that makes Jonathan believe she’s suspicious about the connection in the first place. So he’s not exactly sure why that when he opens his mouth next what comes out is,
“I… I do, yeah.”

Summary
The last thing Jonathan expected from life was Steve Harrington outside his window in the middle of the night. What the hell did this idiot want?
“Uh… did something happen?” he asked while Steve leaned over the window frame, hauled himself up, and swung his legs into the room one by one.
“Byers, did you know Emma from my math class dumped that curly-haired volleyball guy? Damn, honestly, they should’ve broken up a long time ago — he’s like half a head shorter than her. Not physically, you know what I mean… I think she needs to find someone else. He’s too nervous for her.”
Jonathan stared at him in confusion. Steve came here to… spill the tea?

Summary
Jonathan had done what he knew best. Which was to pick the people he loved up, soothe them with words and touch of care and comfort. He was used to doing it for Joyce, Will, Argyle, had done it and still did it for Nancy, when she needed it.
He would do it for Steve too.
