    I could feel my face doing something despite still having my eyes closed. Scrunching up? Cringing? Iris used that adjective once and it felt right in this situation. [Was it really that bad?]

    “To you perhaps. I on the other hand enjoyed it. You were……..cute, despite the circumstances.”

    Or: Murderbot gets got with a sedative and gets the post anesthesia treatment.

That is, until ART picks up another heat-signature and they find a very distressed infant, the sole survivor, and take it aboard the Perihelion to bring it to safety. What they don't know yet is that the infant has imprinted on Murderbot and won't stop crying until it holds them.
