Summary
A few students who had been sitting around chatting turned their attention to the elevator doors. Clearly bemused by the sudden blasting of the Christmas song. Nick blushed furiously and quickly stepped out of the elevator and began all but sprinting down the hall. He glanced over his shoulder once, to see if any of the students were still looking at him and suddenly he was colliding with something.
Or, someone. As it turned out. He had walked straight into a warm body, and fast. The person he had all but run into let out a startled noise and began to fall backward. Nick reached out and caught them, out of instinct.
“Sorry, sorry!” The person mumbled.
Nick made sure they were both safe from any more stumbling before he looked down at the person currently apologizing. And his breath caught. Startling blue eyes looked back up at him. Bluer than he thought possible. Eyes surrounded by beautiful dark lashes, a straight nose, and a beautiful jawline. And curls. Beautiful, shining curls. The boy smiled then and oh— oh. Dimples.
“Sorry.” The boy said again, “I didn't mean to run into you.”
Nick smiled back, finally finding his own voice. “I’m pretty sure I’m the one who ran into you.”
