Summary
Jimin wasn't very selfish in general. He was a kind person, always looked out for his friends.
But his desire to be free of his father made him selfish. Selfish enough to risk someones else feelings getting hurt in order to earn his own freedom.
Or: Jimin is an Idol, that is indebted to and abused by his father. Due to unfortunate events people think he is in a relationship with rapper and producer Agust D and Jimins father uses the events to force Jimin and Yoongi into marriage.

“We can do this the easy way or the hard way.”
“You’re really going to let Minjun get the promotion over me? Minjun?!”
“Hard way it is.”

When he thinks his luck can’t get any worse, on the day of his big promotion he gets caught up in a bank robbery, kidnapped and held hostage. Summary
Jimin is a brownie. There's a lot that comes with the job description-- fixing clothes, keeping the household up and running, tending cattle. And all that would be fine and dandy, if only Jimin liked his work. (He doesn't.)
Jeongguk is a Nightmare. Literally and figuratively. When Jimin loses his job and gets reassigned to keep Jeongguk's manor running, Jimin isn't afraid in the slightest.
It doesn't matter that Jeongguk's rumored to be eccentric, brash, and cold because Jimin has a job to do, and then he'll be onto the next mind-numbing assignment. It's going to be fine.
