Atsushi slammed and locked the door behind him, putting all his weight on the door to avoid falling and took in a long breath. Ignoring the blood slowly pooling at the bottom of his feet, he slowly limped his way over to his futon, feeling his way there and leaning against anything he could as to not slip. After what seemed like forever he made it to his bedroom, the moonlight seeping through the curtains illuminating the room giving it a heavenly glow. Finally collapsing onto the bed he let out a long sigh of relief. Before quickly being interrupted by his stomach rumbling
He groaned, pressing his head harder into the pillow trying to ignore the hunger.
“I’ll eat when I wake up..s’ fine”
His voice, muffled, yet breaking the silence of the nearly empty apartment. Before he quickly dozed off into a deep sleep.

Summary
The basement is dark, deliberately so, like the shadows were designed to procure fear. It looks to have been built with confinement in mind. No windows. No cracks of daylight. Just cold concrete walls pressing inward making me panic. A single door sits across from me, reinforced with thick steel bars slick with oil and age.
My breath stutters as I notice the embedded in the floor, metal grates darkened with old stains. My mind fills with the possibilities I don’t want to acknowledge.

Or, Atsushi is kidnapped just a day after work, convinced the Agency—and Akutagawa—will find him before anything goes wrong. But he doesn’t know the kidnapper has already slipped an ability user into his place, someone who can mimic his appearance perfectly. As the captor grows more sadistic and violent the deception tightens around everyone who cares for him. One question becomes horrifyingly clear: will the ADA realize the truth before it’s too late—or is Atsushi already lost?
