Amidst this two-front conflict, Ashryn, a dragon-touched Seer whose family made a pact with Hraesvelgr before he disappeared, fears for the safety of her siblings. She knows the Lord of Ishgard is looking for her - and this cold, calculating man would see all dragon-touched put to the sword. And so she prepares herself for the inevitable, oblivious to the fact that he is pursuing her for an entirely different reason...

She’d later not be able to say what made her whisper into the heavy silence – perhaps there was no conscious intent behind it at all, but simply the most honest desire of her heart, spoken aloud for the first time.
“He’s killing himself… I wish he’d get a chance to escape this bureaucratic hellhole. At least for a while… Gods know he deserves it.”
If she hadn’t been so distracted and plagued by concern, still reeling with the emotions in the wake of their conversation, the Warrior of Light might have remembered the magic lamp in her backpack. Might have remembered that it would be listening for even the smallest wish that slipped her tongue. Might have noticed that the lamp issued a mischievous, gleeful wisp of aether, evanescing into the shadows of the Lord Commander’s office as she rose from the chair, making her way to the exit.
Yet she didn’t. Neither could she have conceived, even in her wildest dreams, the repercussions her carelessly voiced wish would wreak upon the man she secretly admired above all others.

So this is my take on what if FFXIV were set in a cyberpunk dystopian future, expect to find familiar names in very unfamiliar settings, and note that this will involve explicit sex and some graphic violence on occasion. I will try to CW chapters where it may be necessary and otherwise please enjoy my weird random smooshing of two of my favourite genres... Let the experimentations begin! <3
