Summary
König's base in Vienna has collapsed and he was the last survivor. Price offered a transfer and König accepts and he arrives at Ghost's base to provide aid. The tensions are high, König wants to do a good job but Ghost is worried the Colonel will try to pull rank and run this base into the ground.
However, when a breach collapses part of the wall and leaves Simon buried beneath concrete, König steps into command without hesitation, and into a silence he isn’t built to carry alone.
Each night, he sits at Simon’s bedside, delivering reports, filling the quiet, and confessing feelings he assumes a half-conscious man can’t hear.

Summary
A cave-in cuts the Player from Poppy and Giblet during another scuffle with the Prototype. Thankfully, Poppy is out of Prototype's claws.
On the other hand, the Player is now faced with having to find their way back up to their friends with the help of a very unexpected enemy-turned-ally.
Because despite everything he's done, he is still a child after all, and as much of a victim of this cruel place as everyone else. He deserves to be saved, just like Poppy, Giblet and the others. Even if they won't be fans of this decision of Player's.
Aka; a self-indulgent fic, where the player saves and adopts Ollie/Prototype, because I am feeling massively maternal towards the poor baby and I have to project this out in case someone might be needing the same. Also, you ever get a plot point idea in the middle of the story and don't know how to get there? YUP. It took me 4 chapters to get to the original point SOBBING
