Shulk feels sick but he can’t tear his eyes away from Melia.
“Does that mean there is no cure?” he asks tentatively, afraid to hear the answer he knows is coming.
“The legend says that it is possible to surgically remove them, but the process is risky and I know of no one who could possibly perform it. Even if you were to survive it, you could lose your capacity to love at all.” Melia shakes her head, wings trembling. “So unless the patient confesses their feelings to the object of their affection, it is fatal.”
