He'd done them on a whim, anyway. Deciding to use his hyperfixations for something constructive at Chris' insistence. Pepa and Abuela offer support since they basically adopted him into their family, regardless of what Eddie was or wasn't doing.
Which is how he ends up going to England for most of a year and following the trail of the legend of King Arthur in search of the origination of the story from oral traditions. With only a few people in on the secret. Granted, he's not sure if Chim will be able to make it very long, but he's happy to give him the chance.
