But not everybody is on board with the whole joining the Avengers thing. With Jason just wanting to scoop up his lover and leave, while the team is having trouble excepting the dangerous teenagers.

Summary
Percy was wondering the streets of New York one August evening, having left camp a few weeks earlier to go see his dad. He was finally going to start college in September and major in the Arts and in Marine Biology. He and Annabeth had broken up sometime during the summer, around the end of June. Percy and her were having complications in the relationship, and the trauma was a little to much; plus, they both wanted to focus on other things, like Percy wanting to explore his sexuality.

And amidst the raging storm in his heart, Percy found safety in the form of The Best of the Greeks.

It seemed that Kronos, essentially, was a sore loser.
"By the gods, what are you wearing, boy?" the man inquired, taking a step closer to Percy.
Feeling increasingly uncomfortable, Percy instinctively took a step back, causing the man to chuckle. The sound sent shivers down Percy's spine. "Now, now. Don't be afraid, boy. I'm simply curious as to why you're dressed so strangely," the man remarked, tilting his head. "And why I've received reports of a boy appearing in our streets, unrecognized by anyone." There was distrust in his voice. Percy wanted to groan, did everyone think he was some type of spy?
___________________________________Join Percy on his journey through time, thrown into the era of the Trojan War. Being accused as a spy, dealing with two annoyingly ancient beautiful Greek heroes watching his every move.
Watch as the Demigods from his time deal with the fact their leader has up and disappeared after fighting Kronos.
And how the gods are dealing with these newfound memories of heroes from the Trojan War they don’t ever remember meeting. Who has an uncanny resemblance to the hero who just went missing?

Summary
The myth of Zagreus goes like this, the god born to Hades and Persephone - journeying through the underworld to unite the Gods once again. It ends like this, the ripping of flesh as titans tear him asunder. The only thing left of him is a beating heart.
Percy Jackson is a still born, heart still until a miracle allows him to live again.
Or: Zagreus is subject to fate as everyone else is, but gets reborn as another boy burdened by prophecy.
