“I can’t help but ask Mem, am I still required to do the dating aspect of this game?” Phainon was pleading to every God out there that it wouldn’t be the case.

Mem let out an offended gasp. “Why of course, Phainon! It’s special mission number four! How are we able to have a romantic ending without romance!?” The little squirrel fairy flew wildly around Phainon, her bushy pink tail even hitting Phainon’s face. “Why would you even ask that!”

Phainon sighed. Might as well get this over with. “Mem, I don't know how to tell you this, but I'm literally a lesbian.”

Hearing Phainon’s confession, Mem froze mid air. “Wait, what?!”

In which, Phainon transmigrates as the main character of a popular dating sim, only to avoid romance flags with the male leads in order to be with her one and only love— the infamous and widely hated villainess of the game, Princess Mydeimos.

“We're making excuses now?” Mydei cuts her off, raising a hand to grip Phainon's face, her crimson manicured nails softly tapping against her chin. Phainon stops breathing as Mydei's lips curl wickedly, the deep rouge a stark contrast to the paleness of her sunset hair curling around her ears and framing her face like a halo. “Is the Deliverer of Okhema Girls Academy really that fallible that one asshole is enough to bring her down?”

Phainon wrenches herself out of Mydei's grip, pretending that her heart was beating loud in her chest because of the anger swirling in her chest and not because of their prior proximity. “Apparently,” she says through gritted teeth. “Because I did lose today because of her, Mydei, and I don't need you rubbing it in my face.”

phainon retreats to the bathroom to cry after losing an important competition. mydei ‘comforts’ her, challenges her, then learns what the word ‘rival’ means to nerds like phainon.

Thank you for your votes, everyone! Can’t express just how grateful I am for all your love but, unfortunately, I’m no longer deserving of this title. Haven’t been for a long time actually but I can finally say it because just last week I got married!

    Summary

“I’m sure they were charmed by you,” Mydeimos grumbles. He reaches up to tug at Phainon’s sleeve, drawing the knight’s attention to him. “Were you not going to greet me?”

“Sorry, Your Highness,” Phainon says easily. He walks to the other side of Mydeimos and pulls a chair close to him, sitting down. “What are you eating tonight? It looks good. Did you make it?”

Krateros desperately looks towards Gorgo, trying to discern if she sees what the hell he is. She doesn’t meet his gaze. Distraught, Krateros returns his sight to the two, only to be met with Mydeimos feeding Phainon a piece of his meal.

What the hell. What the hell what the hell.

Krateros learns his precious godson is in a relationship with Phainon, his least favorite person in the world. He doesn't take it well.

    Summary

When the Gods fell millennia ago, Phainon had fallen with them.

Now he is the last. A remnant of times long ago, a fragment of divinity cast to the mortal world and tied to the great God-Kings of Sak-Kahn-Ko. He is theirs to do as they please; to serve each father and son and son of his son, unageing, undying, unchanging. He does not see the sun rise each day. He does not see it set.

Come a springtime he can only hear in the sigh of the wind, the God-King he serves has guests to visit. Many guests, from all corners of the mapped world, there to pledge allegiance to Sak-Kahn-Ko, to bow to the one great enough to own a God.

But one guest is strange. He does not look to Phainon’s humiliation with glee or envy or pride. He does not look at all.

Mydeimos of Castrum Kremnos looks, instead, to the God-King he must bow to; and he looks with anger, at the one who owns the divine. He looks with rage.
