“Eddie,” Buck tries. “You could, uh… I get why you asked for two rooms, but maybe we should…” The bed is small. They’d be touching all night, and that would be bad, given what happened last night—it would be terrible; Buck definitely doesn’t want it.
He doesn’t want Eddie pressed against his chest, doesn’t want his soft, steady breath at his ear. He doesn’t want it so bad that he says, “Splitting up gets people killed in horror movies.”
Eddie’s answering smile is surprisingly soft. “We’re not in a horror movie, Buck.”

Summary
In which Eddie has been struggling with the death of Bobby along everyone else. Though, it’s been harder on Eddie. Eddie has lost plenty of people in his life, and Bobby was unfortunately one of them. Through the year (season 9 & forward), Eddie has been struggling with depression- though he’s kept it well hidden from the 118 and Chris. The day the team finds out Eddie has been reaching out to the crisis line, shit hits the fan. They answer a call despite their worry for Eddie, only for them to come out of a call with hospital bills.
