Every word felt like a stone being placed carefully on Minho’s chest. But .He could hear the unsaid word screaming in the air between them.
“I have tried. For two years, I have tried to feel what an Alpha should feel for his intended. Respect, yes. Admiration, certainly. But… not love. Not the kind that… that binds a soul.”
Minho’s world tilted. The conservatory, with its lush ferns and fragrant orchids, seemed to blur at the edges.
“My heart,” Changbin confessed, the agony in his voice now raw and unmistakable, “it does not beat for you. It… it has never been yours.”
He took a step forward, not toward Minho, but as if pleading with the universe itself. “It beats for Felix.”
Felix.
His sunshine brother. His little Felix, with his bright laughter and easy charm. The brother he had spent a lifetime protecting, pampering, placing in the softest light.

"It's basically a big 'fuck off' signal to us, actually," One alpha, who is covering his nose, says as Seungmin attempts to ask him for a dance. "Like I know it's an omega's scent there, but the alpha in me is screaming not to touch you because of it."
"It's just my roommate's. He gets really protective before his heat." Seungmin downs the last mouthful of his beer. His scent patch did nothing to hide Jeongin's scent on him.
"Plus, you smell kinda creamy, which is, like, a huge turn off for me. I don't think I could get it up if I wanted to."

"You're the second person to say that. Weird. The creamy part, not the turn-off part. That kinda stings."
"Hey, dude, had you not smelled like that, I would've taken you to my place regardless of the apples. I just can't do that creamy scent, I don't know why. Let me at least buy you another drink in apology."

Summary
“Is he always like this?” Minho asks him.
“No, he’s usually worse.”
He gets smacked on the shoulder, strongly enough it knocks his glass and spills some of his coffee in his lap. As Seungmin hurries to wipe it with kitchen paper while cursing Changbin, Minho laughs, close to a giggle. Seungmin guesses he’s glad they’re amusing him instead of pissing him off at least.
“Dude. You just casually tell me you have a ghost haunting your apartment and you expect me to be chill about it?”
“Seungminnie was pretty chill this morning,” Minho says calmly, almost proud and very much taunting.
(or: The ghost haunting Seungmin's apartment is kind of beautiful, and very annoying)

Seungmin hums, moving to straddle Hyunjin’s lap now he’s not busy, his hands instantly rubbing at his head. “How does it feel? To be bald.”
“I’m not bald,” Hyunjin huffs, frowning softly.
“Ok, sure, nearly bald then.”
Hyunjin pauses, giving Seungmin an unimpressed look, that wasn’t any better. He sighs, snaking his arms around Seungmin’s waist before he leans into his touch anyways, enjoying the way he caresses his head. Hyunjin’s starting to think he has a thing for being petted.
