The city takes matters into its own hands. Leaving tips on fire escapes, Snacks on rooftops like he's Santa. The Hero tries not to cry while he eats cookies an old woman left out.
TLDR; Spider man is broke, The city doesnt know but they care. So they silently take care of spider man.

He knew he should’ve gone with his ‘I’m actually from a clan of assassins that kidnapped me when I was nothing but a mere baby’ instead of his ‘I’m from another planet, and crash landed on this planet when my own got destroyed’ plan.
“Peter, you explained your ‘I’m from another planet’ lore to me for five hours straight.” Peter ignored Karen. Karen didn’t know what she was talking about. Karen had just been fixed and is a bit faulty. Yeah, Karen just needs some improvements. “Peter, you’re talking to yourself again. And I am not malfunctioning, I am working at 100%.” Peter groaned, running his hands down his face. Karen needs to shut up. Aside from that, he needs to learn some self-awareness, especially in this new universe. Also, what’s with this Bat Cult’s grudge against Tony? Peter hasn’t done or said anything that would paint Tony in a bad light, especially since the man is…dead.
“Peter, you have been unintentionally giving misunderstandings of Tony being a negligent and abusive father.” Karen really needs to shut up.

Summary
Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.
And that’s when things get complicated.
