“...you go to my games?” not the university's games. Her games. June pauses, unsure of what to say. She feels utterly stupid, like she should’ve stopped talking as soon as she sat down. The question hangs in the air, and another couple has been eliminated.

Mira flinched under the intensity of Zoey’s gaze, guilt pooling in her stomach, "We thought we were protecting ourselves..."
Zoey's hands shook as she ran them through her hair.
“P- protecting ourselves?" She huffed out a laugh, "Baby, have you seen her? Look at what we did! She's alone and it's because of us!"
A heavy silence fell. Zoey's voice dropped, raw and trembling.
"I- I can't... I haven’t felt her in so long, Mir. Neither have you. And it’s been like that for weeks. Weeks. Or have you just gotten used to her not being there anymore?"
Mira froze.
“Zoey… Jagiya, I-” Her voice cracked, small and desperate.
She was interrupted, tears spilling freely from Zoey’s eyes, words scrambling together in hiccups.
“I don’t know how to fix it because you two always end up fighting each other and leaving me alone… and that emptiness just keeps getting more obvious.”

Rumi's teammates piled on top of her in celebration. A joyous grin tugged at the corners of Rumi's mouth as she was jostled around, again the overwhelming scent of all the alphas and the few omegas on the team heightened by the thrill of the game. It was intoxicating.
Her eyes darted out of the pile looking for those two brown dots. Mira's face was one of frustration as she was consoled by a teammate. She glared at Rumi, daggers straight into her heart. Rumi smirked back, full of arrogance. Take that.

Where's all the Amberfield? Max and Rachel get all cozy and do mushrooms together. Will it lead to love? Will they keep it simple? Something in between?
Note: What happened to my sweet, innocent fluff piece? Chapter 3 happened. It's still plenty sweet, but I didn't plan on the smutty section getting so intense. But hey, that's how it came out, so here it is!
