Zanka slipped in and out of focus, the smell of rot and poison thick in the cavernous air around him.
I lost.
The two words resonated in his head, in his core, in the stinging of his wounded leg and abdomen, over and over and over again.
I lost.
Above him, Jabber loomed over his shoulders, smiling with glee and dancing gracefully from foot to foot and messing around with Zanka’s beloved Assistaff while Zanka lay helpless on the ground, unable to so much as roll over.
…I lost.

Summary
Hijikata thought he understood Gintoki. He has analyzed the man's scars as if he were an astronomer and Gintoki were the sky. He has learned to read between the lines when all anyone else sees is the same stoic face and same mindless chatter. And yet an insecurity in the man is that he doesn't really know anything. Everyday he notices a new scar, a new unreadable look. Whenever he thinks he finally understands the man, he seems to become more complex.
But there are some things he should have just known. And it hurts to realize that he never noticed.

Summary
Alpha Steve Harrington x Omega Jonathan Byers
Established Steve x Nancy as this follows canon with them being in a relationship in season 1.
Events starting from s1, in the alleyway fight where Steve mistakenly thinks Jonathan is a beta and a creep who is after omega Nancy, when in fact Jonathan is secretly an omega and friends with Nancy. I will go through all seasons, and scenes they had together, retconing some canon events.
Omega Jonathan trying to live under the radar but his mate and alpha is the dumbass Steve 'the Hair' Harrington. Jonathan is willing to sacrifice his love life to take care of his family, even if it hurts him. Why does it matter? He is worthless anyway.
Steve inhales too much hairspray on the daily, he can't smell the obvious mate before his eyes beating him into a bloody pulp.
No smut during the time they are underage, once they grow up later in the fic, there could be some ??? smut, but no guarantees/promises.
NO NONCON/RAPEJonathan taking pics of Nancy will be addressed in chapter 5.
