Bloodhound fumbled for the tracker in their front pocket, quickly bringing up the beacon’s signal. Its last ping was halfway between the sea and home, Johanna’s trail marked by dozens of incremental red dots. They frantically scrolled through the logs, the pings coming in every quarter hour.
For the past four pings, Johanna hadn’t moved.
