Summary
As part of the Alden coven, Sairena Alden was expected to uphold the family’s values and ‘maintain balance’ like all the other witches in her family. Except she’s not like all the other witches in her family, and it’s a secret she and her Grandma Daphne have kept for years. After Daphne passes, Sairena is exposed as a Siphoner to her older brother during a fight and flees the coven before they can persecute her. Running to the only other family she has, she finds herself in a small town called Mystic Falls, where her Aunt Elizabeth and her Cousin Caroline live.
