For a long moment, Ziva simply looks at him. Reads over the slowly relaxing lines of his face. How that sentence was much easier to say than the former. Her eyes bore into his and he finds it incredibly difficult to look away.
"Does that mean you would be comfortable answering them?"
It's a question with an entirely terrifying answer. Because without even thinking over the multitude of choices and the ramifications of his responses - with McGee four feet away, no less - the swift and immediate answer is yes. Dinozzo chokes on it, keeling over to take a moment to be more reasonable. Carve the answer out of granite, not loose stone.
"If it would help...with closure or...trust or...whatever."

Summary
Castiel almost looks away to continue his search when he notices it: the little details. The ones that are off. The way he can see Dean chewing on his cheek, trying not to bite on his lip, and Cas' muddled brain can't help but connect that to trying not to moan. Dean's right leg - the one facing him - is raised, bent at the knee, though Castiel knows he wouldn't normally sit like that while trying to sleep. When he looks down, his pupils dilate at the sight of the man's fingers digging into the duvet, curling further, though Cas can practically sense that he's trying not to.
Eyes trailing up his body, it's easy to spot the tension someone else would mistake for ease. But it's not the kind Castiel is used to. The kind they see practically every day - waiting for danger, trying to be predator instead of prey. It's the kind he sees less often - in bars, around pretty women, sometimes when he watches the human sleep. It's something he recognizes, and Castiel's eyes widen as his gaze finally reaches Dean's face, wondering whether he's willing the man to open his eyes or keep them shut.
Those aren't his fantasies. Because they're Dean's.

And Faith has no problems making it clear to him that he's an idiot.

“Spike tells Buffy to leave him in Chosen but, this time, she doesn't... and out pop two ghosts in Angel's office nineteen days later. How does Buffy being in W&H as ghost #2 affect AtS season 5? What kind of shenanigans does our ghost duo get up to? ...Angsty, fluffy, smutty (answering the question of if ghosts can touch each other!) - whatever genre you like, so long as it has a happy Spuffy end.”
Probably heading into the territory of melancholic despair at some stage, be warned. But happy ending guaranteed! It's in the challenge requirements after all ;)
