A warm hand falls to the curve of her elbow, steadying her. “Captain, you okay?”
She looks up into the warm, concerned brown eyes of Andy Flynn, his presence a solid comfort beside her. “Fine,” she breathes out, leaning ever so briefly against him. “Woke up with a bit of a headache, but it’s nothing.”
“You sure?” His voice is tinged with concern and it fills her with warmth. It’s been too long since she last had a friend to lean on–both figuratively and literally in this case. She touches his arm in response, waving off his concern.
“I’ll live,” she assures him with a small grimace.
He looks unsure but lets her go, hovering behind her. “Okay, tough guy, but let us know if you need anything.”
(Or, Sharon has a headache and Andy has a suggestion for treatment.)
