Summary
Zoey and Mira are at the end of their rope waiting for Celine to finally track down this third and final member of their hunting trio before they can make their debuts as idols and start to actually be effective against the forces of evil in their world. They decide to blow off some steam at a club in the city but run into trouble when they come toe to toe with a demon unlike any they'd faced before.
She's strong and clearly very powerful, but when they draw their weapons, she does something no other demon has when faced with the opportunity to try and take down the legendary demon hunters.
She runs away.

Zoey’s the one who breaks first.
“I thought you said you were going for something subtle.”
Mira doesn’t look at her. “That was subtle.”
Rumi snorts. “You had your hand on my thigh for two eight-counts.”
“I needed to guide your weight,” Mira replies, too casually.
Zoey chokes on her water. “Guide my ass. You just wanted to grab—”
“Stop.” Rumi holds up a hand, grinning, flushed. “We’re going to get banned from TV.”
or Mira makes a choreography to confess everything she can’t say aloud and Zoey and Rumi are terrible at pretending they don’t notice.

Summary
A few weeks after Gwi-Ma’s defeat, Rumi wonders if she can truly consider herself brave. She fights hordes demons and performs in front of huge crowds without a second thought, but being open with the people she loves most scares her so much it feels impossible. As she works to understand what she’s really afraid of, she realizes Zoey and Mira have two questions for her, asked patiently, subtly, softly, until she’s finally ready to face them:
Are you brave enough to love us?
And are you brave enough to let us love you?

Summary
After a rabies exposure, the virus must travel to the brain before it can cause symptoms. Therefore, the incubation period may last for weeks to months depending on several factors such as location of the exposure site (in relation to the brain) and age; in extremely rare cases it could be dormant for years.
Rumi thinks about this one frequently, lying in bed at night; the idea that you could be wasting away at any moment in your life. A poison in your veins with you none the wiser– like a ticking bomb just waiting to go off.
You would need to get bit or scratched first, of course, and if you took the right precautions you would likely never know. And Rumi has never been bitten anyway. She’s fine.
