Summary
Clark had assumed that winning Bruce's love would be the slow, grueling, difficult part, but in truth, Bruce had loved that man ridiculously early into their relationship. How could he not? Clark had never let him down once, never violated his trust, never been anything other than eager and honest and so loving. Long before Clark had officially asked Bruce out on a date, they'd been loving each other in their own, soft, unspoken ways for months.
The actual slow, grueling, difficult part? Convincing Bruce's hyper-protective, incredibly tight-knit, trauma-bonded family that he won't break Bruce's heart.
AKA the Bat-kids have spent actual decades keeping pretty-eyed creeps away from their bat-dad, and they're not about to soften now.
