Summary

In the final battle against Shadow Moth, Ladybug and Cat Noir win, but the price is greater than any of them ever could have imagined: It costs Cat Noir his life. Distraught from the loss of her partner, Marinette quits being Ladybug. Not only that, but she learns that Adrien’s father has pulled him from school, claiming that if Cat Noir can be killed, no one in Paris is safe, not even his son.
Five years later, Marinette is 21. After years of slowly piecing her life back together, she’s finally got a good job working as a fashion designer and a nice apartment to call home. Her relationship with Luka is doing well, all things considered, and she’s finally feeling okay again.
Shadow Moth is dead. Ladybug is long retired. But then an evil is let loose on the streets of Paris for the first time in years, and when Ladybug doesn’t show up to stop it, another hero does.
One that was supposed to have died five years ago.

Starts with a tiny bit of Lukanette and ends with all the angst related to a certain blonde boy who just walked back into Marinette's life -- or rather, a certain two blonde boys.
