Mercedes is no prude, and her relationship to sex is, for the most part, nascent. She’s had experience, and she knows what she likes, but she rarely seeks it out.
Now, though, she’d rather bury the thoughts of her failure to bring Emile back to her - to them, to her family, to her family here - than to bury the way Ingrid’s breath has found it’s way next to Mercedes’ ear.
She pulls the shorter blonde woman by the arm as soon as the meeting’s over, catching the way Ingrid smiles off to the side as they exit the tent and step into the cold air of the Faerghus winter.
Sylvain watches the pair slip away from the war tent, Mercedes’ arm wrapped tightly around Ingrid’s, and he can’t pull his eyes away.

The smile freezes on Leonie’s face. Her brow furrows a little. Bernadetta pushes through her furious blush and rising self-consciousness.
“I-I think it started after you rescued me from the ballista. At Gronder.” She says nervously. “Y-You can’t hold it against someone. You’re so… You’re amazing Leonie.”
Leonie blows out a sigh. “Wow.” She laughs. “See, I was gonna chalk it up to your hormones being out of wack, but if it’s been well over a year since Gronder, I don’t think it’s just hormones.”
Bernadetta blushes. “I-I know it’s extremely f-forward, and y-you can absolutely s-say no, y-you could leave the inn, I don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable at all—”
“Who said I wasn’t interested?”
Bernadetta’s jaw hinges open. She snaps it shut, swallows and croaks, “R-Really?”
