Summary
As a detctive, Grian knew he would have more responsiblities on his plate then he ever had as a patrolman. This was proven true when he was placed as the lead detective on the most infamous case Hermit City has seen in his lifetime- The Bloody Pollock.
Grian as a detective, had his work cut out for him. Grian as a person, just had to hope he was understanding the visions that cut across his vision.
In the interim, he had to solve the case and figure out who was behind the serial killer's mask while trying not to metaphorically drown.

Summary
In a world where you stop aging at 18 until you meet your soulmate- no one focuses on what happens when "until you meet your soulmate" isn't any time in this decade- or even this century. Tango has to face this concept head on because it's his reality. A reality that has dragged on for far too long. He's met and lost too many people in his life. Yet he still hasn't met the one that will allow him to reach his actual (government acknwoledged) ninteenth birthday.
Jimmy hasn't been eighteen for too terribly long, but every time he witnesses someone meet their other half, it gets him a little more excited for the day he meets his own.
Nothing is as straight forward as it seems- right?

Summary

Summary
To be clear, it was a favor forged out of mutual interest. Either side had something to gain from this deal. There were zero other reasons why Scar might’ve accepted Grian’s invitation without really considering it. Zero.
It didn’t matter that Scar had been too distracted by Grian’s mischievous grin to catch his question at first. It didn’t matter that his stomach had practically launched into his throat when the words actually did register. It didn’t matter that they were the same ones he’d fantasized about hearing for the better part of two years now.
“Scar,” Grian had said, dangerously earnest. “Go on a date with me.”

Scar agrees to Grian's invitation to spy on Tango and Jimmy's date. Surely, there's no way spending Valentine's Day pretending to date his best friend will dredge up any underlying affection though, right?

"I don't want to pry," Xisuma said when they were speaking before his official invitation to join. "And not answering won't change whether or not you get whitelisted. We admins just prefer to have a heads up if anything's likely to come trying to dig you up, so we can keep you and everyone else safe."
Grian thought back to obsidian and endstone and blood, to tattered wings and torn robes and so so many unseeable eyes, and swallowed hard.
"No," he said, his voice shaky. "No, I don't think anyone will come looking for me."
"Okay," Xisuma answered, and that was that.
Until they invited two new people to the server.
or, the Hermitcraft Backstory Rule says that you don't ask other people about their backstory, you let them tell it if they want to and leave it be if they don't.
Unfortunately for Grian, one of the newest Hermits was also a player on his old server - one he'd thought had been dead for years - and she's going to drag his backstory kicking and screaming into the light whether she means to or not.

When supernatural problems have been plaguing Grian's village for years, he seeks answers in the gods of death. Scar and Solidarity, ever fickle, do not answer his prayers. However, when Grian is approached by a mysterious traveler, he gets sucked into a world of politics, trickery, and godly tomfoolery.
