“Shut up, I’m not cheap I’m just not rolling in it right now. It’s not like they hand out dollars in space, asshole. Besides, you’re the only one I know I’d trust doing those,” he says that so easily, as if it’s a simple and obvious fact. “I know you did yours yourself and they all look nice, not wonky or all scared up.”
“You trust me?” He raises one eyebrow, hoping to mask the way his stomach is sinking in his guts. He doesn’t hear those words all that often, and never directed at himself.
“You know what I mean,” Kyle says with a shrug. Which, no, he doesn’t know what he means but won’t push the issue, he still has some self-respect. “Come on, can you do it?” And Jason takes all of three seconds to pick his answer.
