    Four wings beat down as she loomed above them, her face shadowed by something Tallulah couldn't make out. The distant white stars parted as she came to a standstill. Everything was silent as her wings folded inward and her head bowed. The shadows covering her face withdrew, her form shrunk, and soon she stood before them, her lips twisting into a smile.

     

    This was death, and she was beautiful.
