His mind was clouded and numb, and he had to act like everything was fine. like the Guardians weren't killed by Pitch, like he and the Bennet kids weren't in a world with dragons and vikings. He had to act like he wasn't falling apart as the time went by and he still couldn't find the two kids.
he had to just accept that he was a freak of nature. Neither human, spirit or dragon. He had to craft a perfect smile so his new friends-family don't notice he's secretly falling apart. and by now, he's fooling himself. and the moment he's alone, his facade crumbles.
So who cares about the tail? about the bounty on his head? lets ignore the fact that he bites now, and he had to pretend Pitch wasn't after him. like he wasn't playing the man's messed up version of Hide-In-Seek
