It's been a week since Wei Ying had his rendezvous with the dog. He wishes he could say everything was back to normal but that would be a lie, sort of.
He can't put his finger on it but old man Lan has been nicer, well that might be an overstatement. But there’s a difference, for example when Wei Ying was over at the Lan’s the other day — like he always is — Lan Qiren told Wei Ying to stop talking during dinner, he didn’t yell it or pinch in between his eyes or even sigh. He just gently sipped his tea and continued eating his meal in silence.
