Alastor has never met anyone with red eyes, they look like blood. He wonders how they would taste, what kind of elation he would feel from ripping them out of their sockets and sucking them dry.
“Well, I won’t disappoint.”
Or, Alastor manages to summon Lucifer before he meets Rosie. This changes everything but also not that much.

That meant wings, claws, and her own personal hoard, which in Aithusa’s case included soft pillows, fluffy socks, and much to Merlin’s chagrin, stolen pants. When Merlin found out that his winged ward had stolen a rather considerable pile of clothing for her hoard, he thought that it would be the end of any kind of friendship with his neighbor. “Hiijiji said our family is made of heroes,” Raphael says brightly. “So I’ll be one, too! And I’ll protect Leo and Donnie and Mikey when the bad guy comes.”
Yoshi can’t even speak for a moment. He has to wrestle with the lump in his throat for long enough that Raphael gets distracted and starts pawing at his hair.
His kids are so good. He can’t get over it. They were created to be super-soldiers, but all Yoshi sees are little goofballs with big colorful personalities and hearts made of solid gold.
When he’s pretty sure he can do it without a wobble in his voice, Yoshi declares, “There better be room for me in all these plans. I’m a hero, too, you know—you’ve seen me on TV!”
Hamato Yoshi escapes from Draxum’s lab without mutating. This changes things by a lot.
