"Tom."
The name slipped out like a curse. Quiet, accidental, but sharp as shattered glass.
Harry froze.
So did Dumbledore.
It hung in the air for a second. Two. An eternity, maybe. Harry's hands, clenched at his sides, loosened just enough to tremble.
"What did you just call me?" he said, voice low. Controlled.

Summary
When Sirius falls through the Veil in OotP, Harry dives in after him. He finds his godfather in the United States, with no evidence of witches, wizards, and magic as they know it. Instead, they are greeted by one of the walking dead and a crossbow-wielding Muggle with a Sirius-sized temper. Watch them make both friends and enemies as they try to find their way home.
