Kan-E-Senna let a smile dance across her lips. “You’re an interesting person, Admiral.”
They held each other’s gaze for a long moment, and Merlwyb drew close. Close enough that her knee came between Kan-E’s legs, her strong arms bracing her forward. Her face drew close, close enough that Kan-E’s nose filled with that same scent as her pillow, heightened from the heat of Merlwyb’s skin. Kan-E’s lips parted with a slight gasp. “And what might the nature of that interest be?”
