He came to stand in front of his partner. His best friend. The love of his life. "Move on," Izuku whispered around the lump in his throat. Katsuki's shoulders hunched in, then started to shake as he let out a broken sob.
But not because he could hear Izuku's pleas. He couldn't hear Izuku at all.
"I'm not going to leave you behind," Katsuki promised into his palms.
"Move on, Kacchan," he begged, following as Katsuki collapsed back on the couch and pressed his palms into his eyes—crying harder. If he didn't know any better, he'd say that Kacchan was listening.
But he did know better. His words were falling on unhearing ears. He stroked the line of his lover's shoulder, just for his fingertips to sink through him.

Izuku has been dead for a year. He’s stuck on earth for some reason—forced to watch Katsuki’s sadness and loneliness. But Katsuki refuses to move on, because he can see Izuku every Halloween, and that’s enough for him.

So when Kaminari came wandering into his room with a broken silver age All Might figurine Katsuki 100% knew Izuku had saved up his allowance for six months to buy when they were nine, and has (or had) a collector’s value of 3.5 million yen (~25k$), there was not a single doubt in his mind that the bottle blonde electric user was about to take a very fast, long walk off an incredibly short pier.
“Kaminari.”
The rest of the Bakusquad (as well as most of their class) in the common room stopped dead when their resident explosive blonde used someone’s proper name, in the formal tone, even. Most of the room hadn’t even noticed Kaminari had walked in, let alone that he was holding a broken piece of history that was equivalent to a nuclear bomb bigger than anything Katsuki could dream of creating.

OR: Kaminari breaks one of Izuku's action figures (by accident). The whole class is about to find out what Izuku can REALLY do, and Katsuki just wants to keep it from happening.
