Summary
“Hyunjin, get me a fucking screwdriver right now.”
The dark haired man looks from the hybrid to the cat. Minho’s already moving, closing all the windows and curtains in the room.
“What? Why?”
“That’s a fucking hybrid and that collar is keeping them from turning.”
Hyunjin’s brain stops and crashes. He looks back at Goldie, who’s trembling on the couch, afraid and with wide eyes. A hybrid? That seems impossible but now that he thinks about it, it makes so much sense. How it seemed like the cat understood him, how it was so well behaved when he gave it a shower and how it had comforted him when he was distressed.
There’s a soft meowl and he’s moving before he thinks of it, he falls to his knees in front of the couch, looking at those intelligent chocolate eyes. How could he be so stupid?
“It’s ok, no one’s going to hurt you. We’re going to help.”

On top of her lay the figure of her little lotus, Luo Binghe, bleary-eyed and half asleep. She was murmuring something unintelligible, but she seemed pleased, her face slack and comfortable. Binghe further burrowed her face into Shen Qingqiu’s neck. She was warmer than usual. Shen Qingqiu patted her back through her thin sleeping robe, unintentionally coaxing Binghe to wiggle further into her embrace, confirming Shen Qingqiu’s suspicions. Binghe was probably in preheat.

Summary
Bleeding to death from a bullet through the stomach in the back of his Rolls Royce is not the way that Binghe imagined he would go, per se, but it doesn’t feel entirely unexpected, either. Not with the kind of life he’s led the past few years.
What is unexpected, however, is the man that unintentionally kidnaps him from the 7-Eleven parking lot he’s hiding out in. That’s a new one for sure.
As are the butterflies lighting up Binghe’s stomach when the mysterious man is forced into a high-speed police chase in his car. Or maybe that’s just the bullet wound. Who could say?
Either way, Binghe’s night just got a lot more interesting.
