Summary
It was "Witch Weekly", of all people and organizations, the first to notice and comment on The Boy Who Lived’s absence from the ranks of first years at Hogwarts. The magazine went on to elucubrate that the young hero was studying at a foreign school, possibly Beauxbatons or Holzschuhkäse.

Summary
“There is another timeline that can be yours to play with,” offered the Spider, light and mocking. “Yours to divert as you wish. Nothing can change this ending. But you can forge a new beginning.”
“Yes,” gasped Jon gratefully. “Yes, that.”
“What a wonderful gift for the Mother of Puppets,” it teased him. “An attempt to manipulate an entire universe toward a better shape.”
This world was set on the path to its destruction too long ago, and not entirely by him. Gertrude Robinson had uncovered the keys, and Jonah Magnus had engineered the end. Jon would need to go further back than that to fix it.
All the way back to the start.
*
In 1976, Gertrude Robinson finds James Wright dead on the floor of his office. There is a strange, angry avatar of the Eye knelt over him, covered in blood, claiming to be from the future.

“I think… I can’t fix all of your problems—”
“Shocker.”
“—but as far as touch goes… I might know something that can help. Someone.”
Jon levered himself to his feet and grabbed his cane, then turned back to Tim.
“Do you trust me?”

“When I was with those people, I felt more like myself than I have in… in I don’t know how long. I felt present, and solid, there to help until they were out of danger and I could relax. I don’t think that’s a bad thing.”
“I’m not saying it is.” She wasn’t gentle, no, but Basira was always steady. “I just don’t know if it’s a good thing, either.”
Or, in which Tim learns how much a life is worth, and how much an undeath costs.

Summary
The world ended. Then it was put back.
These events happened 24 years after you were declared legally dead.
-
Kareena Sims died in 1993, due to complications during routine surgery. Nothing to be done, no one's fault, a simple and unfortunate accident.
This is the official story. This is a lie.
Which would have been fine, if she and everyone else monsters had taken hadn't been dropped back into reality the moment the Change was undone.
