Summary
Before his third year of Hogwarts has even begun, Harry faces three whole weeks of unsupervised time in Diagon Alley. In that time he takes a trip to Gringotts - and that changes everything.
Burdened with the knowledge that Dumbledore has been blocking his family magic, and manipulating far more than he ever thought possible, Harry doesn't know who he can trust; but he knows he can't keep going that way. There's a whole world of lore and politics and history to catch up on, and the more he learns, the more Harry realises his true place in the world, and how much is being kept hidden from him. He introduced himself as a captain of the Hyrulean army. There had been no captain with such a name in the army for hundreds of years. Orville had a suspicion about who this mysterious man was.
But why did a fairytale suddenly become flesh when there was no hope left for this kingdom—when his people’s, when his prayers had gone unanswered for years? Orville wanted to scream. Instead, he asked,

Sir Tovias of Hyrule, knight captain of the Royal Guard, has a problem. Two problems, really. First, the soothsayers' predictions of an oncoming Calamity that can only be stopped by a princess without powers and a sword without a bearer. Second, the strange boy running about Castle Town causing no end of mundane trouble to its citizens.
Everything changes--the kingdom, his mission, even Tovias himself--when he realizes these two problems may have the same solution.
