Summary
He’s seen bombs go off with less messy aftermaths.
Every single surface, including the ceiling, is covered in powdery sprays of castoff flour. Eggshells, empty of their contents, lay like so many corpses on one counter, while batter and other substances congeal on the remaining three. Metal racks keep delicate pizzelles, madeleines, palmiers, macarons, and mille-feuille hovering above the mess as they cool.
And in the center of it all, form suspended in mid-air and glowing red with For The Tainted Sorrow, is Chuuya.

Summary
“Tell me why you’re here, Jinko.” It’s more of a command than anything else, and though Atsushi’s hackles rise at the tone, he’d rather not let the tiger out tonight.
“I was thinking,” Atsushi snarls. But when Akutagawa stares back at him unimpressed, he relents. “About what happened with Shibusawa.”
The memories flood back– are you going to kill me again are you going to kill me again– and Atsushi can’t help but bite his lip once more. He feels it this time, the sting of his teeth breaking flesh, worrying into the wound that’s already there.
“I killed him, you know.”
Unable to process the aftermath of his past with Shibusawa following the Dead Apple incident, Atsushi finds himself wandering the city after a nightmare. Akutagawa is the very last person he wants to see, but he might be the one Atsushi needs.
