After her mother's death and her father's collapse, she learned to exist in the spaces between. Between hospital visits, between compositions, between the slow hours of 3 AM and the gray light of dawn. She told herself she was healing. She told herself she had found purpose in saving Mafuyu, family in the empty SEKAI, gentleness in the way she now visits her mother's grave without pain twisting her face.

Just like the non-terminating random numbers following its decimal, these numbers are the floating points, or the noises. People of this type are the random ones whose actions show no pattern whatsoever.”
“Disobedient, unreasonable, never play by the rules…” Sonetto mutters to herself, her lips forming a silly tiny smile by an unusual, playful thought.
The description fits. It’s familiar, nostalgic and it brings a momentary, excited flutter to her belly.
It’s a shame that the girl, always so present in her mind, is not, and can not, be described as an irrational number anymore.
