Summary
On their way back from a mission in Cenred's kingdom, the Knights stumble across a nest of Serkets and are attacked by the vicious creatures. When Merlin gets stung, Arthur knows he barely has days left to live; less time than they need to get him back to Camelot and to Gaius.
But miraculously, Merlin survives. And that leads Arthur to contemplate whether there is an ugly truth about his manservant to which he has been blind all these years.

One thing was for sure: he would never - ever - listen to Gwaine again. Why he had ever let himself be persuaded that this would be a good idea in the first place seemed incomprehensible to him now. It must have been a temporary mental derangement on his part, otherwise he would never have agreed to come along when Gwaine had invited all the Knights into the Rising Sun after training. So there he was now, crammed on a bench between Elyan and Gwaine, taking a sip of his second jug of ale because no, of course the others wouldn’t let him leave after just one. Still it didn't seem to be enough just yet.
Or: Leon is almost as emotionally constipated as Arthur, but Gwaine knows what lies behind his dutiful exterior and tries to tickle it out of him.

Summary
It's all quite simple, really - marry the King of Camelot, fulfil her duty to her father and her country, become Queen. Or at least that's what Mithian thinks when she arrives in Camelot for the first time.
However, things get complicated when the King's half-sister, the Lady Morgana, catches her eye instead. Turns out that no one, not even a Princess, has a say in matters of the heart.

Summary
It'll be fine, Arthur had said. It'll be fun, Arthur had promised. And really Merlin only has himself to blame because when have any of their trips been anything other than a disaster. Because there are venomous thistles that want to kill them, and their poisoned barbs make Arthur say more than he should. Merlin wants him to stop talking before they both do something they might live (if they're lucky) to regret.
