The ground shook and split as ash rained from the sky. It was over. Vecna had won. The slippery bastard had beaten them at their own game.
And then Steve was somehow back in his bedroom. No explanation, no warning. He had no idea how he ended up back in ‘83, but by god he had three years to try and change the tide and he wasn’t going to waste them. And hell, maybe he'll get to that whole 'thrown back in time' thing eventually.
This is a fair warning to anyone who wants to read. I haven’t actually watched the first two seasons in years and never put myself through three and four. To save myself. Love Robin and Eddie and Erika but it’s just not the same. So if you see something and say hey wait a minute that’s not how it- shh. Hush. Silence.

Sure, a true Lux Animae is a hard-earned thing - a bond that must be forged and shaped and toughened in the fires of battle over and over again, and, if done right, will last a lifetime and longer. Still, many people claim that they sensed it, even long before the ceremony.
It is, after all, the magic that does the choosing, and the magic knows. Knows who is destined to complete you, who will fight and cry and bleed for you and draw out your full potential like no other can. So, when you meet them, you’re supposed to feel it. You just need to know what to look out for.
A tingle, some say. A warm, heavy buzz that fills your veins the moment you lay eyes on each other. An electric spark, zapping through your body like a current upon that first careless touch, letting you know that this is the start of something bigger, something stronger, something more profound than both of you could possibly imagine.
The only thing that Eddie feels when Steve Harrington steps on his foot is pain.

Summary
The first time Steve heard the sound was on a drive back from dropping Robin off after a long day of volunteering. They'd spent most days after the earthquake helping out. It felt like the only thing they could do while they regrouped and tried to plan on how to find Vecna again.
It'd be early evening, he had his normal pop radio on, humming along to the song as he drove back to the Henderson home when it broke through the calm song with a burst of electric guitar. That had been what startled Steve into hitting the breaks.
His hand flew to the knob to adjust the volume lower, making it easier to think. The radio still read the same station he had it one earlier but the electric guitar still plays. Steve huffed, annoyed.
"Seriously? I liked that song." He grumbled to no one but himself, whacking the top of the dashboard. The sound flickered out with a crackle and the pop song returned a few seconds later.

Steve Harrington is being haunted by a guirtar riff he can't place. It comes over every electronic device, even if its off. Now only if he can convince everyone else to listen to him for 5 minutes to help him figure it out. Set right before Season 5 begins.
