It was enough to have killed Paris, before it wasn’t. In Paris, Mark watched humans wither as down came the Eiffel Tower and smoke filled Versailles. He hovered in a mad, red, and suffocating sky and ground his teeth into dust, and thought about the boundless span of this Invincible’s life suddenly withdrawing into a pinhole. He breathed fire, and it was good.
After the wasteland and the wreckage of titanium plates from which he scavenged William, it was enough to be close to him. It was everything. First there was his voice in Mark’s childhood room; dispersed through white silt; and then: his voice, his voice, his voice for real, keening for Invincible—
After escaping the wasteland, Maskless Mark gets a second chance with William. Unfortunately, something always gets in the way.

The depiction of trauma/ptsd/depression in this is so jarring and real that every chapter I had to just sot and process it every step of the way. Beautifully written, there's a reason its always the first fics recommended for UT.
Truly is a love letter to both Papyrus' and Floweys characters, its so tear jerking.
