Tymczasem trzymający go mężczyzna potrząsnął nim jak workiem ziemniaków i wycedził:

Ta zaś była dokładnie taka jaką przewidziałem i niech mi magia świadkiem, że wolałbym się mylić w swojej ocenie."

Hashirama nods, and now that Tobirama pays attention, his brother looks ashamed.
“Oh, you meant to offer me,” Tobirama concludes, “me or Touka. But I doubt Touka would do well inside an arrangement like this, so it falls to me.”

It was hard to even move. Because Mustang… Mustang wasn’t even looking at him. It was as if he was staring at him, but wasn’t actually seeing him.
Mustang’s eyes were expressive. Since when did Ed start to pay attention to it was anyone’s guess, but the point still stood. The man could have the best poker face, could manipulate, could try to keep his emotions in check, but his eyes would always betray him. That was if you knew what to look for. When he smiled, laughed, was genuinely happy, they would crack at the corners. When he was furious, this dangerous spark glistened in them, a brief warning before all would go to shit. When he was panicking and tried to keep himself in check, they would grow distant, the slight crease of his brows betraying how hard he was trying to control himself.
The point being, they were never this empty.
And combined with the most neutral face that Ed has ever seen from the man, it made him feel…
Scared. Furious.
“Mustang” he breathed, his fingers clenching when the man didn’t react in any way. Just an empty stare.
