Riddle stared at her. He stared at the device.
Then back at her. Then at the lyrics on the screen. Something shifted in his expression.“…Play another one.”
Yuu, grinning like a madwoman, hit play. By the time 4 AM rolled around, neither of them had any plans of stopping. They had blasted through rock, alternative, pop-rock, and even metal. Riddle wasn’t just listening anymore. He was analyzing. He was memorizing lyrics. He was fully in.
Yuu, slumped against the couch, let out a groggy laugh.
“Riddle, we’ve been at this for seven hours.”Riddle, wide awake, barely looked up from her playlist.
“Have we?”Yuu groaned, stretching. “I—I should probably sleep, but—”
Riddle looked up sharply. “You’re stopping?”
Yuu paused. His voice had a slight edge to it. Then she took in his wild-eyed look— the way his hands were twitching to play the next song himself. Her tired brain caught up. She had created a monster. Slowly, she sat up.
“…You wanna keep going, don’t you?”

Crowley did his best to quiet down the, for the largest part, angry crowd, but seemingly wasn’t succeeding. Professor Trein took over – And was that a Hawaiian shirt under the Headmage’s waistcoat? – and spoke a few last words.
“I understand that you are upset, and believe me when I say that I would rather spend Christmas with my family as well. But we can’t change the situation for now, so I suggest that you all settle back in your dorms together and that we make the best out of it. Housewardens, please lead your students back to your dorms.“
