Summary
She’s been thinking about Paris since before Brown was even on her radar. She had a whole plan, and maybe the mime thing hasn’t happened yet, but she’s in France and there is a guy in her European history class named Francois, so she wasn’t too far off. Being here feels like a sign that she’s done the right things with her life, no matter what anyone from high school might say.
So she’s really fucking pissed off when she climbs up the stairs to the apartment, swings the door open, and finds Jackie Taylor in her living room.
or: Shauna studies abroad in France as she always planned. She doesn't plan for Jackie to be in Europe in the fall of her junior year, too, over two years after their fight, or to keep seeing her, no matter how little she wants to, and how over everything she wishes to be.
