Sieun’s breath caught in his throat. He looked away, blinking once, then again, as heat spread across his cheeks and down the back of his neck. His voice, when it came, was barely more than a breath.
“Yah…” he mumbled, a protest in name only.
But Suho just chuckled, letting his hands fall. His eyes stayed on Sieun’s face, glittering with a kind of lazy happiness.
And that was the moment the next line slipped out of his mouth—“Say baby, you shall kiss me tonight…”
It was soft. Almost absentminded.And the second they passed his lips—

“Are you okay?”
Their gazes locked.
His eyes flickered back and forth between Suho’s— trying to read him, figure out how much he knew, communicate wordlessly to just let it go. A barely audible puff of air escaped his lips as he realized that if they continued in this direction, it’d just get harder to keep pretending.
And so, as stable as ever, he dodged, “What do you mean?”
The barely audible hitch in Suho’s breath, the quiver at the edge of his mouth; Sieun caught it all too late. There was a small, strangled sound, and then a tear.
Or, what if Suho didn’t manage to hold back his tears after seeing Sieun’s cast.

“ You can’t take those risks.” and he was trembling so much, he looked so ruined that Hyuntak’s heart stuttered.“ Why not?”, he challenged, surprised to find that his own voice couldn’t raise more, as if he hadn’t spent his entire life fighting back, yelling and being obnoxiously angry with anyone else.
“ Why would you?”, his voice breaking so horribly was the last straw, it was all Hyuntak needed to snap out of his trance.
“ For you.”, Hyuntak finally bit back, finding his voice and using it to hurt, to drill the truth into the other’s head.

Summary
“I’m fine.” He croaks out, muffled with his hands covering his undoubtedly cherry red face. It’s almost automatic, the response, because with the years Humin has become an even bigger worrier. And tends to always check before cracking up. A sign of maturity Hyuntak supposes, but that doesn’t particularly help with his embarrassment right now.
He tenses, waits for the sound of his boyfriend cackling at him.
There’s no laugh, barely a huff. Instead he hears the sound of the mattress creak, senses the presence looming over him, and stills in confusion as Humin parts his legs and settles between them, before leaning down to kiss his cheek.

Hyuntak had Baku wrapped around his pretty little finger, and he didn’t even know.
If Hyuntak ever asked for a home, Baku would build one on the spot. He'd dig his hand into his chest, secure his fingers around his sternum, and rip. His heart visibly beating in its home now, he’d cup his sternum in his hands and present it to Hyuntak as if he was sacred. He’d find a way to keep the other nestled between his ribs, replacing the reason why he breathed, because Hyuntak was why he lived.
Baku didn’t exist without Hyuntak.

In a lot of inconsequential, stupid ways, Baku is bigger than Go Hyuntak.
Most of it is just objective fact. He’s taller. He’s got bigger arms, legs, muscles, the whole deal. It used to be a never-ending source of annoyance for Go Hyuntak when he was little, never being the taller one even through his (few) growth spurts.
Well. The good news is that he’s generally gotten over the insecure part of his obsession with Baku's stature. The bad news is that he kind of likes it now.
