Summary
Mine had watched as men were gunned down all to protect their chairman. At the time, as he watched Daigo’s sorrowful face gaze upon his fallen men from his less than ideal alley way vantage point, Mine became more sure than he had been of anything in his entire life that this man was going to be the answer to his question, and that one day he too would receive the honour of sacrificing himself for the beloved sixth chairman.
It was the only logical conclusion one could draw. What wasn’t so logical however was the predicament of how Mine currently found himself doing just that twice in the span of one evening.

Summary
The Kirin had lost its fight and in replacement were more rounded and familiar eyes. It wasn’t the same shade of brown that he was used to, but Daigo knew that lost look in them. Back on the hospital roof, he had asked Mine if he was alright and Mine gave him that same thrown, lost gaze. It was more pinched with confusion and aching with regret, but the same grief was present there as it was here.
A curse that's haunted Mine his entire life, sparks again to save his life after he falls off the hospital roof. With only the instinct to find comfort in Daigo to guide him, his true love saves his life once again.

Summary
Arakawa Masumi cuts an imposing silhouette as a yakuza. Refined, strong. A patriarch who commands respect.
He doesn't always dress this way.Sawashiro Jo is trusted enough to be able to visit Arakawa in his home, in private, and all that entails. He finds that his boss is a beautiful woman, though that realisation leaves him awkward and uncertain as to how he should act.
Sawashiro gifts her something that nobody else would think to give, and she admires his thoughtfulness.
(Tagged this with both crossdressing and genderqueer, because I wanted to leave it up to interpretation. Sawashiro might not understand how Arakawa might identify, but he knows to treat the matter with respect, and that's all that's necessary.)

Daigo immediately recognizes that Mine is drunk. In spite of the way the sound is modified by the low quality of a phone speaker, he clearly hears how deep his voice is. How he slightly slurs on his words. And also, the fact that he’s greeting him so informally. Mine’s always been so proper with him. Always in perfect control. Even when they went out for drinks, he was never more than a little tipsy, and still, he managed to hide it pretty well. He’s never heard him so loose. He’s left frozen, hanging on every word Mine is muttering on the other side of the line.
“I’m out, with my men, but I-... I should have stayed with you tonight. I… I want to see you."
