“K… cch…”, Deku tried again, chest spasming. The hand clinging on tightly to Katsuki’s forearm became lax and rolled to the side uselessly as he grew weaker.
Katsuki’s brain was overcome by a whirlpool of feelings, thoughts, and sensorial input. There were people yelling, people shouting, people trying to touch Deku. He shielded the boy’s body with his own out of pure instinct, trying to think, goddamn it, think. He needed to do something.
Deku was dying.
Deku was fucking dying. Because he ate poison that was aimed at Katsuki.Alternatively: Someone tries to poison Katsuki. Izuku ends up eating the food instead.
