Summary
“Why can’t you like my good looks and charm instead?” He asked, bemused.
Ari leaned into him, resting her head where it fit so well on his strong chest. “You know, it sounds like you just want me to tell you how handsome you are.” He scoffed, and she couldn’t bear to look at him. She lingered against his chest, feeling the warmth radiate from him. “The little things about you, Balor, they make you more… real. More human.”
Balor’s expression shifted, the playfulness fading as he absorbed her words. “More human, huh?”
“Yeah,” she continued, her voice miraculously steady. “I like who you are, even when nobody else is looking.”
Or, what it takes to find a home.

Summary
How did he ever doubt that he was a good man? She'd seen nothing but good in Urianger from the very first — though he'd been so stiff and formal in the beginning, the more time they'd spent in each other's company, at first simply with their faces in separate tomes, then regularly meeting for tea and talk of magic and learning, the more of himself he'd slowly begun to reveal. He was unusual, eccentric even... but he was kind, thoughtful, and brilliant in a way that fascinated her.
"Thank you," she answered.
"'Tis I who must thank thee."
Their eyes met — stars but he was handsome, pale golden eyes framed by thick dark lashes and flowing silver hair. She— what was she doing, being distracted by his looks at a time like this?

In which the Warrior of Light pays a visit to the Bookman's Shelves to mend the rift between her and her good friend Urianger, and both find the gift she comes bearing to do more towards that end than either of them bargained for. Takes place post-Shadowbringers.

Summary
An unexpected call from Midgarsormr is not easily ignored, if it can be ignored at all. He summons not only his brood, but the Warrior of Light, and poses a theory that he has seen in a dream:
Restoring Ratatoskr's aether.
And the only person he believes capable of the task is the Warrior of Light. It's by no means an easy task, but she feels like she can't refuse.
As she takes on more and more of the Great Wyrm's aether, a little-known secret comes to light; Nidhogg was, before she was killed, Ratatoskr's mate. The way they find out about this is through the dragon's influence on Estinien; as more of her aether is gathered and kept safe, he gains an almost uncontrollable urge to by at the Warrior of Light's side, as well as keeping her all to himself.

Summary
"If love doesn't come first and linger after, if love can't wait and endure disappointment and separation, then it's not love." (Robin Hobb, Golden Fool)
After that day at the Vault, I lived from one moment to the next, like a sleepwalker who refuses to wake from a dream. But living is not a life. I carried on, denying to acknowledge that I was bending beneath the weight of it all. I carried on, fleeing into vengeance and duty and distraction. I carried on, abandoning hope. I didn't believe in second chances. But he would prove me wrong. He would challenge all I thought I knew, because that was what he did best - prevail against impossible odds. And I would fight him, because let's face it - that was what I did best. Or so people said, back then.
This is a story of how sometimes, we do not realize how deeply we are loved until it is almost too late. - AkaneBookmarked by Vintchy
