Summary
Set in GlitchyRobo's Human Domestication Guide setting.
Humanity has been invaded by a precursor race of hypercompetent plant dommes called the Affini, and forcibly given paradise in a post-scarcity culture that heavily prioritizes the care for its protectorates, to the point of drugging and mind-controlling them into a blissful reverie if necessary. For almost everyone this is a vast improvement. All that's required is to give up any silly notions that anyone except for the Affini know what's best for everyone; in many cases the poor things clearly don't.
Chloë Sulla, our protagonist, has been running for too long. Clover Fabaceae, Fourth Bloom has plenty of experience with those who can't slow down. When you finally come face-to-face with the thing you've been trying to avoid all this time, do you have the courage to stop?

Summary
A small drabble where an unknown Affini of barely-humanoid shape and an unknown insecure Floret (possibly forcibly domesticated from external stress, or perhaps picked up somewhere or other) snuggle and exchange affections. Recently florted, no implant yet. There is a small mention of read browser history, but the Floret is not unhappy. It is written in "you/your" second-person style.
I'm still learning about HDG, so there might be inconsistency present. I kept the spirit of its' work in mind.
