It was barely dawn when the phone rang, slicing through the fog of Chuuya’s sleep. He didn’t know why he sat up immediately, why something deep inside him leapt awake with a jolt of unease. There was a tug in his gut, cold and insistent, warning him that something was wrong, that he needed to pay attention.
He answered before he could think.
Mori’s voice came through, precise and cutting, each word falling like shards of ice. “As of last night, Dazai Osamu has left the Port Mafia of his own volition.”
Chuuya’s lips parted, but no sound escaped.
Dazai... left the Port Mafia?
Left him?

Summary
When the Armed Detective Agency first recruited their newest member, Dazai Osamu, they had no idea what kind of trouble they were inviting through their doors. On paper, he looked like the perfect addition—brilliant, sharp-minded, and exactly the kind of detective the Agency could be proud of.
In practice, however, Dazai quickly proved himself to be nothing short of a living nightmare. The first week alone had proven that.
Dazai Osamu was a menace. He was insufferable, a total nuisance, a walking migraine in human form.

Not even a minute had passed when the two of them joined the kids in the kitchen, yet they found Chuuya hanging by the ceiling light, one hand casually holding himself up while the other tightly held on to the box of donuts, and Ranpo trying to balance himself on a chair to reach it.
“This is also new,” Murase informed Fukuzawa, gaping at the sight.
Or, Murase adopts Chuuya when he’s seven and tries to navigate this new journey with the help of his good friend Fukuzawa, fourteen year old Ranpo isn’t against having beef with a child, teenage Chuuya still manages to get a pathetic crush on Dazai and… twenty year old Dazai is really trying to date his coworker, okay?
